So I’m not a BDSM girl. But I still know enough to know that is a mad stereotype that is so not true. BDSM people are people who like BDSM. The end. Neither more or less damaged by childhood than the rest of us. Neither more or less psychotic than the rest of us.
The question to me is, if James feels like this about it, then why did she base her book around it? Does she like it but feel she shouldn’t? I know Edward was all moody and messed up and abusive, just like Christian, but why choose BDSM as the outlet if you, the author, think it’s so sick, so disturbing?
